Pay As You Drive will monitor the distance travelled over the next two months In order to monitor mileage and driver behaviour on a monthly basis, Pay As You Drive needs customers to choose between the two options available to them. They can choose to fit a Tracker Skytrax device in your vehicle which provides the functionality required to transmit all the data required and costs R140 per month. As a Pay As You Drive policyholder the Tracker SkyTrax unit is installed at no charge. Alternatively customers need to have The Hollard DriveMate device plugged into the on-board computer of the vehicle which transmits data to Hollard by way of a GSM feed and costs R60 per month. If the DrivePlan kilometres are unused, they are carried over to your DriveSave Account for future use. Also included in the Pay As You Drive policy is accidental death cover of R15 000, third party liability cover up to R10 million and an assistance service benefit which provides cover for accident management, roadside assistance and medical assistance in the event of a breakdown or an accident. Customers also have the option of having an assistance button fitted in a position where they feel it is the safest, providing peace of mind in the event of violent hijackings.
